Vehicle seized by the Department gets released after heavy legal battle

Transporter’s vehicle was intercepted and confiscated under section 130 of RGST Act, 2017 by the Rajasthan State GST department. The adamant nature of the departmental officials was handled professionally by our team led by Vikram Gogra, and after strong legal battle, the vehicle was finally released by the officials on the specific directions of the Appellate Authority during its confiscation period. The transporter could finally get back the possession of the vehicle intact and continue the trade in a usual manner. Generally departmental practice is to confiscate the vehicle along with the goods but in this special case the vehicle was released independent of the goods in the favour of the vehicle owner. This rare occurrence in the practice was achieved by efficient professional strategy and planning.
